Who we are

SEMICS LTD is the data controller for the information described here. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 12871299, at Slowley Hall, Tamworth Road, Coventry, CV7 8EB.

If you have a question about this notice, or you want us to do something with your information, email [email protected].

What we collect

Only what you type into the contact form, which is:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company name, if you give one
  • A rough budget band, if you pick one
  • The message you write

What happens to it

The form sends your message to our own inbox as an email, and sends you an acknowledgement at the address you gave. That is the whole journey. It is not added to a mailing list, a CRM or an advertising platform, and it is never sold or shared for anyone else’s marketing.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the UK GDPR: you have contacted a business about its services and we have a legitimate interest in replying to you. Where the conversation turns into a quote or an engagement, we also rely on Article 6(1)(b), taking steps at your request before entering a contract.

Who else sees it

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and delivers the email your enquiry becomes, so your message passes through their systems. As the host, Cloudflare also processes technical information about your visit, including your IP address, in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

Nobody else. We use no third-party analytics, no advertising services and no marketing tools.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence while we are in contact about it, and for up to 24 months afterwards, so that we can pick up a conversation you come back to. If you become a client, the records relating to that work are kept for as long as we are required to keep business records.

You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, and we will.

Your rights

You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
