Discovery
We follow the process as it really runs, including the workarounds, because the workarounds are usually the requirement. You get a written scope, a fixed price and a date.

Implementation
You use it while we build it. Something clickable in the first week, then a version every week after, so the people who do the job can tell us what we got wrong while changing it is still cheap.

Full testing
A system the business depends on has to survive the awkward cases: the duplicate record, the half-finished job, the month end. Those become automated tests you keep.
