The part of the job still being done by hand.

Reading documents. Pulling numbers off a photograph. Sorting the inbox. Writing the same reply for the four hundredth time. This is work AI is good at, and it is usually the work eating a day of someone’s week. Whether the result is useful or embarrassing comes down to how narrowly it is scoped and how carefully it is measured.

    Discovery

    We look for the task that is repetitive, high volume and tolerant of a human check. We will say so plainly if a rule or a form would do that job better and cheaper.

    Implementation

    Built narrow and measured from the first week. The design question is always what it does when it is unsure, because a confidently wrong answer costs more than no answer.

  3. 03

    Full testing

    Accuracy gets a number, on your data, before launch. Being right eighty per cent of the time only helps once you know which eighty per cent, and what happens to the rest.
