The problem

Reporting at national scale usually means waiting. The dataset was large enough that a straightforward report would have taken minutes to answer a single question — long enough that people stop asking, and start making decisions without the numbers.

The outcome

Trust managers query the full national dataset and get answers back immediately, with row-level security ensuring each trust sees only its own data. The refresh runs incrementally overnight rather than rebuilding from scratch, which is why the dataset has grown past a billion and a half rows without the answers getting any slower.
